Electric Fleet Management: Successfully Electrifying Your Fleet

The electrification of vehicle fleets is no longer a question of “if,” but of “how.” Charging infrastructure, home charging for employees, vehicle availability, and CO₂ reporting present fleet managers with challenges that traditional fleet management alone can no longer address.

The AZOWO Mobility Cloud is the fleet management software that provides companies with the right tools: real-time data on battery status and vehicle usage, an intelligent booking algorithm for electric vehicles, automated home charging, and CO₂ reporting that makes progress measurable.

The right tools for your transition to an electric fleet

  • Employees charge their company vehicles at home, and billing is fully automated. Fleet Plug@Home tracks charging sessions directly using vehicle data: kilowatt-hours charged, electricity prices, and charging times are automatically logged and reimbursed monthly. Calibrated wallbox? Not required. The solution works with existing infrastructure and integrates seamlessly into the AZOWO Mobility Cloud.

  • Efficiently managing electric vehicles in a fleet involves more than just coordinating bookings: range, charge status, and availability must all be optimal for every assignment. AZOWO’s vehicle-class-based booking algorithm automatically takes these factors into account. Drivers book via the app or website, and the system assigns the appropriate vehicle and ensures optimal utilization of the electric fleet.

  • How is energy consumption trending? Where are the opportunities for savings? And how can CO₂ reductions be demonstrated to stakeholders? The AZOWO Mobility Cloud provides automated reports on utilization, consumption, and total costs of the electric fleet, including detailed CO₂ reports for CSR reporting.

  • As soon as a vehicle’s charge status changes, it automatically transmits kilowatt-hours, charging duration, and battery level directly to the AZOWO platform via OEM interfaces. This gives fleet managers a clear overview at all times: which vehicles are ready for use, which are currently charging, and where action is needed.

  • Anyone who drives an electric company car must document personal and business trips in a manner that complies with tax regulations. The digital logbook automatically records all trips, reliably distinguishes between different types of use, and minimizes the manual effort required for both drivers and fleet management. This is an essential component for legally compliant management, especially as electric fleets continue to grow.

  • Switching to electric vehicles pays off, but the numbers have to add up. The TCO module compares the total costs of electric vehicles and internal combustion engine vehicles: purchase price, energy costs, maintenance, and resale value—all at a glance. This allows you to make data-driven investment decisions and clearly justify them to management.
