Challenges for an optimized vehicle fleet

The challenges of recent years for an optimized fleet have impressively demonstrated how vulnerable inadequately set up fleets and multimodal fleets are and how quickly a lack of transparency can lead to data uncertainty and bloated processes. The digitalization of fleet management should therefore be a clear focus. The reality: Excel spreadsheets, disconnected data streams and reports that are meaningless. An industry survey from Germany conducted by our partner Geotab in 2021 summed up the usage behavior impressively: "Excel (44 percent) and paper (19 percent) dominate fleet management." Among 220 German fleet managers, it was determined that more than two thirds of German companies do not use a digital fleet management solution.

Change in German fleets is sluggish

Our discussions at this year's "Flotte! Der Branchentreff" in Düsseldorf clearly showed: The change towards the digitalization of fleets in German fleets - despite the slight momentum of recent years - is only slowly picking up speed and there is still a lot of catching up to do. We therefore support companies on the path to internal change by providing information and procedural advice. Once there is a broad understanding of the opportunities that digitalized fleet management can offer in company management and the specialist departments, the introduction of the AZOWO Mobility Cloud can be achieved in no time at all. The hard part is often the corporate culture, which hardly anyone wants to tackle.

Cloud software solves many problems

The overall objective for AZOWO and the all-in-one mobility solution is clear: in close cooperation with car manufacturers, service providers, partners and customers, we are jointly ensuring a smart, flexible and sustainable platform with transparent and protected data on our AZOWO Mobility Cloud. Through our direct interfaces to OEMs and fleet service providers, we can deliver a wide range of live data, such as vehicle status, fuel consumption and fleet sustainability data. Administrative processes from due diligence to effective reporting are handled via a dashboard and managed in a customer-oriented manner via native apps.

Exchange of information is essential

At this year's "Flotte! Der Branchentreff" in Düsseldorf, there were once again many interesting discussions at our stand - this time a small, fine bumper car. All around the central platform with visitor counter, brave visitors were able to redeem their neon yellow tokens and take a spin on the bumper cars.

"With over 330 exhibitors and around 2,500 fleet decision-makers on site, "Flotte!" 2024 was attended like never before," said the organizer. A successful event. And we all had a lot of fun again showing that the entire AZOWO team is ready to support companies and fleet managers in taking the step towards more sustainability and possibly electrification, optimizing processes and saving costs.

A huge thank you to the hosts and organizers of the 2024 trade fair highlight. Everything went smoothly in terms of preparation and cooperation. We will be back!
