AZOWO software: Data protection and security first and foremost

At AZOWO, data protection and information security are at the heart of our products. Our decision to use Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a hosting provider is based on meeting strict security and compliance requirements as well as the increased stability and scalability of our server infrastructure. By using AWS, our customers benefit from a highly secure environment that is constantly monitored and protected by state-of-the-art encryption technologies. In addition, with AWS we guarantee flexible scalability, which enables us to always meet the increasing requirements of our customers and ensure optimal performance even in the event of strong growth or seasonal fluctuations.

AWS offers numerous internationally recognized certifications and accreditations that demonstrate the highest safety standards. Independent, renowned consulting companies regularly check compliance with these requirements. Particularly noteworthy is the certification of the security of the AWS cloud environment by the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI).

AWS and AZOWO share responsibility for security. AWS is responsible for the "security of the cloud", including infrastructure protection, physical security of the data centers and securing the services. AZOWO is responsible for "security in the cloud", using both technical and organizational measures.

The availability and resilience of our systems are ensured by mirrored systems, uninterruptible power supplies and redundant line connections. Our production systems catch technical errors and maintain the functionality of the software. A load balancer distributes the data traffic, while a network monitoring system continuously monitors the infrastructure.

AWS auto-scaling functions allow us to automatically switch on resources to ensure the best possible performance. Monthly penetration tests and regular checks of the server software components as well as firewall and anti-malware integrity provide additional security for our system.

Our lifecycle management system separates development, test and production systems, with all changes being thoroughly tested before going live. Automated integration tests and technical quality controls ensure high standards. Further acceptance tests follow the release in the production system.

To protect against data loss, we rely on daily backups that are stored for 31 days. Regular functional checks and disaster recovery tests ensure that we can restore systems quickly if necessary.
