AZOWO founder Patric Schneider on the subject of savings
Mr. Schneider (founder), looking back, how would you describe your initial experiences?
Electromobility was not yet so widespread, many fleet managers were still working in the traditional way with Excel lists and saw little need for change. That didn't stop us from spending millions on developing our software and investing in the expansion of algorithms.
What difficulties do you see in your daily conversations with customers?
Many customers are initially unaware of their enormous savings potential because they don't even know which details in a fleet can be measured using simple interfaces. There are companies with thousands of vehicles spread across several companies and countries - hundreds of cars are bought and sold every year. An Excel list can quickly waste hundreds of thousands of euros. Our software creates the necessary transparency for efficient fleet management and provides evidence for decisions via individual reports.
30% savings potential in the first year of using the software is not uncommon.
How much can be saved with the Mobility Cloud from AZOWO?
30 percent is always possible, an exact figure is provided by the data analysis. We recommend knowing the fleet and its utilization, as well as the routes, before thinking about optimization. That's two steps: collecting stupid data in order to derive smart consequences from it. And these have a major impact on the overall efficiency of an organization. Better use of fewer vehicles means lower costs, lower CO2 emissions, less effort, fewer errors - making fleet management a real driver of sustainability.
What challenges do companies face today when transforming their mobility - and not just their fleet?
This varies from company to company. Dominant topics such as sustainability, CO2 balance, urbanization and changes in the working environment have a strong influence. The first challenge is to record the current status quo: What forms of mobility do employees use, is there potential for electrification? The next step is to look at costs, sustainability parameters and formulated corporate values and goals. It is important that employees understand, accept and participate in the changes. The corporate culture is sustainably influenced and the employer brand is strengthened.
What current developments are you currently seeing in the implementation of fleet and comprehensive mobility solutions in companies?
Awareness of the topic is currently increasing - but a certain reluctance to change is still visible. The reason behind this is clear: the implementation of new software projects influences processes and structures with a positive effect on efficiency on the one hand and a one-off restructuring effort on the other. Companies that have already undergone digital change in other areas can often implement such projects more quickly and encounter fewer hurdles. The positive effects of optimization must always be communicated. The saved resources, shortened workflows and simplified processes then lead to broad acceptance among users and users via the "aha" effect.
"We not only take care of the integration of the software, but also the step-by-step qualification of employees for safe handling of the AZOWO Mobility Cloud"
Changes in fleet management require dynamism, so isn't the implementation of cloud software very time-consuming?
On the contrary. Our cloud software enables companies of all sizes to implement their individual software solution quickly and effectively. And with assured quality standards in the joint set-up process - followed by structured on-boarding and support from our Customer Success Team. We not only take care of the integration of the software, but also the step-by-step qualification of employees to enable them to use the AZOWO Mobility Cloud safely. Employers often set certain incentives to motivate their employees and at the same time take away their fear of the new tasks and modern processes.
How do you take your potential customers by the hand in a set-up process?
This is primarily about setting up the modules & reports, analyses & processes and ensuring data protection. Our key account managers guide you through the project and support the implementation of the plug & play software according to customer requirements. In the operational phase, our experienced Customer Success Managers provide support so that our customers can work on internal productivity growth and achieve maximum transparency in the fleet. In close cooperation, we discover significant cost savings and, thanks to the flexible configurability of our platform, we can implement tailor-made solutions for a multimodal fleet if required.
